Michał michalski

Chairman of the Board

A Polish pianist, born in 1994 in Wrocław, has been associated with his hometown throughout his entire musical and academic career. In 2018, he graduated with honors from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław with a master’s degree. He is currently continuing his academic work (doctoral studies) and teaching at the instrumental and vocal faculties of the Wrocław Academy. Since 2020, he has been teaching a piano class at the Karol Szymanowski Primary and Secondary Music School in Wrocław. Michał Michalski combines his artistic and teaching activities with work in the field of popularization – since 2020, he has been leading the activities of the Lower Silesian Fryderyk Chopin Society in Wrocław. During this time, the Society has organized over 25 artistic events, including vocal and instrumental concerts, methodological conferences, performances by music competition winners, special occasion concerts, and since 2023, it has been organizing the Hochberg Days Festival and the Kłodzko Piano Competition.

Kamil Grabowski

Vice Chairman of the Board

A native of Jelenia Góra, he made his debut in 2004 at the Lower Silesian Philharmonic, performing Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 16, with the symphony orchestra. He is the Director of the International Festival “Hochberg Days,” a Doctor of Arts, and a visual artist. He graduated from the Stanisław Moniuszko State Music School I and II degree in Jelenia Góra and the Secondary School of Fine Arts in Cieplice Śląskie. He studied at the University of Zielona Góra in the piano class of Prof. Ryszard Zimniecki. He completed his master’s degree at the Academy of Music in Wrocław under Prof. Grzegorz Kurzyński and earned his doctoral degree at the Academy of Music in Łódź under Prof. Cezary Sanecki.
In 2024, in collaboration with the Jerzy Grotowski Institute, he performed as a pianist in 17 theatrical performances at the world’s largest street theater festival, the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, in a theatrical séance by the WACHOWICZ/FRET Studio titled Sheol | ולֹא ְׁש.
In 2021, he was awarded the title “Personality of the Year 2020” in the Culture category for his artistic achievements. Since 2020, he has been collaborating regularly with the Sudeten Philharmonic in Wałbrzych, also contributing to recordings.

Maurycy Huf 

Treasurer

He graduated with honors from the General Primary and Secondary Music School of Karol Szymanowski in Wrocław in the class of Dr. Bogusława Porębska. He also graduated with honors from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław in the class of dr. hab. Michał Szczepański.
He took part in national and international master classes, perfecting his skills under the supervision of, among others prof. Włodzimierz Obidowicz, prof. Andrzej Jasiński, prof. Waldemar Andrzejewski, prof. Michail Markov. He conducted artistic activity with many chamber ensembles. As a soloist, he performed at many student piano festivals in Wrocław and Katowice. In 2015, he took part in the Trampolina Młodych concert as part of the Clarimania International Clarinet Festival. In 2016, he started cooperation with the National Forum of Music in Wrocław as part of the PNChM project. In 2016, he began working with the Lower Silesian Music Salons with which he performed many concerts in Poland and Germany. He is also one of the coordinators of the European Music of Jewish Composers festival. He is currently working at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław and in the Karol Szymanowski General Primary and Secondary Music School in Wrocław.

Witold Kozakowski

Board Member

A Polish musician, teacher, guitar workshop instructor, music competition juror, columnist and journalist, cultural and educational promoter, and organizer of numerous educational and artistic projects. He has made a name for himself as a skilled and creative organizer of cultural life in the Kłodzko region. For many years, he served as the secretary of the International Evenings of Organ and Chamber Music in Kłodzko. He established a music studio at the Kłodzko Cultural Center and was one of the initiators of the “Town Hall Meetings” series, which were open gatherings for the public with artists, politicians, and cultural figures. His greatest achievement was founding the Kłodzko Music Festival “Gitariada” in 1998 (formerly known as the Kłodzko Guitar Impressions). Currently, he performs solo and in a duet with Agnieszka Kozakowska. He was one of the artists featured at the Wrocław Guitar Festival. He is actively involved in music education, teaching at music schools in Bystrzyca Kłodzka, Kłodzko, and Wałbrzych.
